What makes Typing Master Pro a good program?

Using this touch typing software, you will be able to learn very accurate touch typing in a step-by-step, progressive manner. You will be able to learn how to type efficiently without looking at the keyboard and you will be able to understand the home keys for the respective hands and fingers (A, S, D, F on the left hand and J, K, L, ; on the right hand, and both thumbs for the spacebar). Using a virtual keyboard the software illustrates the right finger movement for you to emulate. The typing tests are timed to evaluate your speed on the keyboard.

The major feature that stands out when using this typing practice software is the Satellite. By activating this feature, the software will be able to analyze your typing while you use your computer away from the typing suite. The reason why this is beneficial is that it will help you analyze your typing skills as you perform everyday tasks.  This feature is one of the main reasons why it is part of our review of the best typing programs in 2018. On logging in to the software, you will be able to see the letter chains, words and keys that give you the most problems while suggesting exercises that can help you improve in these areas.   You can choose the drills or tests on your own to improve on specific skills instead of going with recommendations from the software.  The progress tracking on this software is very good and you will not be able to move to new lessons if you do not complete current lessons to a specific standard. This way, you don’t progress to a new lesson without excelling at the former one.

The software excels in its ability to deliver quality touch typing experience and so it keeps its position on our list of best typing software. However, there are few drawbacks. For instance, underlining element doesn’t keep up when you type quickly in your typing tests. This defeats the purpose of having it there in the first place.

The outdated interface is another negative with this program. You will be forgiven to think that you are back on your windows 98 computer while using this software! However, all of these do not have any impact on the usability and effectiveness of this software. So it shouldn’t be a deal breaker if you don’t care about all the shiny stuff anyway.  For some people, the lack of whistles and bells and antique looking interface may be good motivation to stay focused. Still for the price of this product, the manufacturers should have done a little bit more to make it more appealing.

Customer service is decent as you can contact customer care online or on phone.  There is a product knowledgebase on the website and the FAQ section is as packed as it should be.  All the common questions you may have in mind about this software are properly covered.  If you do not find your desired answer, you can contact support via phone or email. During our review, we found that they reply email queries with a business day. Not the best by far but still decent. The product tour offered by the software after installation should tell you all you need to about using this software and all the sub menus that come with it.
