Fender FA-100 Limited Edition Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar Review

The Good: Cheap price and decent quality, is what makes this Fender a great acoustic guitar. The sound is better than expected, and the fretboard is smoother than your average rosewood piece. ly light.

The Bad: Strings are not the best even for a stock set. The quality of the saddle is questionable and could be a problem after a while.

The Verdict: Definitely a great choice for beginners that comes at a decent price and decent quality. It's fairly easy to play and offers a very good sound. It's not something you would buy as your second guitar, but it does its job very well.

Overview

FA-100 Limited Edition Dreadnought is Fenders entry level model aimed at beginners that brings them them a decent sound and quality at a fairly low price. There is nothing overly special about this guitar, but it does what it's made to do, and does it well. For beginners purchasing the first guitar can be stressful as there are numerous models and manufacturers that offer what appears to be a solid instrument at a very low price. With the Fender FA-100 Limited Edition Dreadnought, anyone looking to start playing acoustic guitar has an option that is made by a trusted brand, and isn't too expensive.

Design

When it comes to design, the FA-100 Limited Edition Dreadnought is quite simple. It features a Dreadnought body shape, with the body made from laminated spruce on the top, and laminated Agathis on the sides and back. The fretboard is standard rosewood and fairly smooth. The bridge is also made of Rosewood and features a bone compensated saddle. This guitar comes in several color schemes, and you can choose between black, natural, natural satin, and sunburst.

Quality

The quality is as good as you would expect from a guitar in this price range. The body is fairly basic, and the rosewood fretboard and bridge are more than decent. The quality of the tuning pegs is great and the FA-100 Limited Edition Dreadnought has no problem maintaining your preferred tuning.  The sound is great and can even compete with more expensive models on the market. The strings that come with the guitar are the most basic set of strings you can find, and should probably be replaced soon. One weak point of this Fender seem to be the saddle. The quality is not always on point, and this part can be easily damaged if you're not careful when changing strings.

The quality is satisfactory for the most part although some things require extra caution and attention when handling. It's smooth to play, and the sound will satisfy even the more advanced guitarists.
